SEAP Advocacy

Description

SEAP Advocacy supports people to have their voices heard by giving information to make informed decisions.

We are concerned  with ensuring that people, particularly those most vulnerable in our society, are enabled to express their views, wishes and feelings, either directly or through a competent and independent voice.

SEAP provides issue-based or casework advocacy and related services, including:
 

  • Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)
  • Community Advocacy
  • Peer Advocacy
  • Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA)
  • Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (IMCA DoLS) & DoLS Reps
  • Independent Complaints Advocacy Service (ICAS) for complaints relating to NHS healthcare
  • Appropriate Adult Service
  • Buddy Scheme for disabled children & young people
  • Support for parents with a learning disability
  • Volunteering opportunities
  • Training
