Hastings & Rother Gay Helpline

Description

For information about social events, for someone to talk to, or to report a homophobic incident, please call between 7-9pm on Wednesdays.

Phone calls are answered by our trained, empathetic, non-judgmental volunteers. We provide information services and 'a listening ear' for LGBT people of all ages, their families and friends. When necessary, we can direct callers or enquirers by other means to the appropriate agency.

Victims of homophobic hate incidents can contact us in confidence, and we can assist with the reporting process.

Out of hours please leave a voicemail message, or send a text or email.

The entire service is confidential and can be anonymous.

Over 50's Get-togethers

We provide monthly afternoon get-togethers in a St. Leonards on Sea community centre where people can meet to obtain information and socialise in a safe and non-commercial environment. We don't make any charge,  free refreshments - tea/coffee and biscuits are provided, and newcomers are made to feel very welcome.
