Eastbourne Blind Society


Eastbourne Blind Society (EBS) is an independent Charity and is a member of the East Sussex Vision Care partnership delivering a comprehensive cross county service. 

Membership of EBS is open to all who have any degree of sight loss and who live in the Eastbourne area.

It also provides a range of other services free of charge to members living in Eastbourne area

For registered members, services include

  • Home visiting service
  • Resource centre where advice can be given on low vision aids and which can be demonstrated and purchased
  • Audio library
  • Shopping bus - you can be picked up from home in a minibus, taken to Asda to do your shopping and taken back home again.We make a small charge towards the cost of providing the minibus.Registration is essential as space on the minibus is limited
  • Vison awareness training and advice
  • ViewPoint, our quarterly newsletter
