Claydon House

Description

Claydon House care home in Lewes offers the best of old and new in one breathtakingly beautiful location. Our double-fronted Victorian house with 45 bedrooms,  provides residential and nursing care, while our purpose-built extension provides specialist dementia support. This combination of residential, nursing and dementia care in one location ensures that our residents’ changing care requirements can be catered for, without the need to move to a different service.

Located on a quiet residential crescent in the heart of the vibrant town of Lewes, Claydon House has been sensitively converted to offer modern facilities while retaining the building’s original character.

Our dementia care service has been designed to meet the University of Stirling’s high standards. Stirling’s Dementia Services Development Centre is renowned as the world leader in dementia care. By adopting this approach we can ensure that our residents are able to move freely around their home, with bedrooms and communal areas all laid out to aid orientation.
