Augustinian Care provides care with nursing for elderly frail residents and those with mental health problems in Sussex. 

St. Mary’s is one of three purpose-built state-of-the-art care homes located in the grounds of St. George’s Park. The home offers the best in modern facilities combined with the traditional principles of care which has been offered by the Augustinian Sisters at St. George’s since 1868. The rooms are all a very generous 24 square metres with spacious en-suites which include level access showers, ideal for wheelchairs

The home is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and offers superb views across the 250 acres of gardens and farmlands. We have a variety of livestock including alpacas, water buffalo, sheep and cattle, all of which are accessible via an extensive wheelchair friendly footpath network within the estate.

The home has its own mobile sensory unit which can be taken to a resident’s room or used with a group of residents. There is a therapy room and we are able to arrange for therapists of the residents choice to visit.St. Mary’s has its own Activities Organisers who work with the residents to ensure that there are varied and interesting options available. 

The Sisters oversee the care homes taking an active part in the day to day running and pastoral care of the residents. The home is supported by outside health professionals and the local GP visits on a weekly basis.
