Repair Cafe - Forest Row

Description

Forest Row Repair Cafe is held on the 3rd Saturday of every month, 10am to 1pm

Repair Cafés are free meeting places with tools and materials and training to help you make any repairs you need. You’ll find expert volunteers, with repair skills in all kinds of fields, to help fix clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, appliances, toys etc.

Visitors bring their broken items from home. Together with the specialists they start making their repairs in the Repair Café. It’s an ongoing learning process.

No charge is made but donations are very welcome.

Or you can lend a hand with someone else’s repair job - we are looking for volunteers who can help with

  • electrical
  • woodworking / furniture
  • computers
  • bike mechanics
  • jewellery
  • sewing
  • tool sharpening
  • cake making
  • tea and coffee making
  • hospitality / welcome desk

You can also get inspired at the reading table – by leafing through books on repairs and DIY. If you have nothing to fix, you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
