Description

If you want to find rented accommodation in the private sector, you need to pay a deposit and pay the first month's rent up front.

To be eligible you must be

  • homeless or threatened with homelessness
  •  seeking accomodation in the Lewes District
  • on low income or receiving Benefit and not having enough savings or assets
  • able to demonstrate that you can live independently, manage your finances and sustain a tenancy

To apply you must first establish that Lewes District Council has no statutory responsibility to house you. This means applying to the Housing Needs Department or telephoning the Housing Advice Line on 01273 471600. If the Council thinks that you may be eligible, you will be given an application form to complete and return to HOMELINK
