What support is provided through the Community Network?

Wellbeing Centres

The Network includes seven Wellbeing Centres across East Sussex in Hastings/St Leonards, Bexhill, Eastbourne, Hailsham, Uckfield, Newhaven and Lewes, and an outreach service in Crowborough. The Centres provide a range of support to empower people to develop skills and resilience to stay in control of their life, including one to one support, group sessions and workshops.

  • Support to develop recovery focused action plan and achieve goals
  • Access to recovery focused group and social activities
  • Self referrals and professional referrals accepted

Peer Support Service

A Peer Support Service is offered across the Community Network and within all the Wellbeing Centres. The service provides multiple peer support options and opportunities including peer training, one to one peer sessions, group support and workshops.

  • This service is provided across our 7 Wellbeing Centers across East Sussex as well as offering community outreach support.
  • Peer specialists will work with you in up to 6-8 one to one sessions. They can help you to overcome challenges and work on specific goals.
  • The service is available for adults (aged 16+) living in East Sussex with mental health support needs
  • We deliver accredited Peer Mentoring courses across East Sussex

We offer weekly recovery-focused drop ins where you can talk with other people facing mental health challenges in a friendly, informal environment

Who is eligible?

The Wellbeing Centres and Peer Support Service are available for people living in East Sussex, aged 16 and over, with defined mental health support needs.


How do I apply?

Please contact the Wellbeing Centres (contact details below) to apply for support. We accept self-referrals and referrals on behalf of individuals from both statutory and non-statutory mental health service providers.
