East Sussex Families & Carers Team (FACT)

Description

Are you being affected by someone else’s drug or alcohol misuse and mental health issues?

East Sussex Family and Carers Team (East Sussex FACT) will be working with the families and carers of people who have mental health issues alongside problematic use of drugs and/or alcohol (dual diagnosis).

At East Sussex FACT we understand how deeply families, friends and carers can be affected by the substance misuse and mental health issues of those they care about, so we offer support services for them.

It is not easy to overcome drug or alcohol dependency, particularly if also experiencing mental ill health, but people
can and do recover.

Family, carers and friends of people with a dual diagnosis can often be a vital avenue of support and can provide the hope and inspiration people need to turn their lives around. Often the family cannot do it alone and this is where support services like ours can help. Here you can meet other people going through the same experiences and get the support you need from our experienced staff.

Our services include

  • Information and advice
  • Signposting and referral to other services
  • Courses and workshops
  • One to one listening visits
  • Support groups
  • Outreach support through home visits
  • Social events and activities
  • Volunteering opportunities

For more information and support, call us between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
