Survivors Network

Description

If you have experienced sexual violence at any point in your life, we are here for you. It can be happening now, have happened recently or have happened a long time ago – if you are a survivor of sexual violence, we can offer you help, support, advice and counselling.

We understand that a healing journey starts with a small step and are here to help you. Survivors' Network is a registered charity that aims to reduce sexual violence and its impact on survivors' lives. We are a fully accredited member of Rape Crisis England and Wales and are the Rape Crisis Centre for Sussex.

We offer a range of services including

  • Drop-in - A safe, welcoming, informal space where self-identified female survivors of sexual abuse or rape can draw on strength and support from other survivors coming to terms with similar issues. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. 7pm to 9pm on Monday and Thursday. We also have a Day Drop-in on the 3rd Friday of the month from 11am – 1pm. We recommend that you call the office before coming in  – sometimes staff shortage results in last minute cancellation.
  • Helpline - a confidential service where our highly trained female volunteers offer information and support.
  • 1-1 counselling - a safe space where you can talk freely and openly in a way that is not often possible with friends or family.
  • Work specifically targeted at young people - We offer a number of different services for children and young people of any gender
  • Independent Sexual Violence Advisory (ISVA) service to help those who have, or are considering, reporting to the police. ISVAs provide information and support through the criminal justice process for people who have experienced sexual violence or abuse.
We know that it takes a lot of courage to seek help for the effects of sexual abuse. There is no right or wrong way to feel afterwards and there is no fixed time for recovery.
