Shinewater Court

Description

Located in Eastbourne, we are a purpose built centre in Eastbourne, that provides accommodation and support for people with complex and high dependency needs, giving independence and lifestyle choices for adults with physical disabilities.

Shinewater Court supports people with a range of disabilities including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida and arthritis, multiple sclerosis and disabilities resulting from accidents or a stroke. As well as providing physical care, it is committed to ensuring that people have control over their lives and are treated with dignity and respect at all times. There are three wheelchair accessible vehicles and access to local taxis, trains and buses.

In addition to the main residential accommodation, there are 13 sheltered flats, which offer a greater level of independence and support for those service users who eventually wish to move to their own home in the community. All rooms have an intercom system. Meals are available in the main dining room, with a wide choice of menus and special diets. There is a bar which is often used for parties and discos, to which service users invite friends and family. Digital television is available in all rooms and also in the communal lounge.
