St. John’s offers an inclusive environment for young people aged 19yrs to 25yrs whose learning, social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties that are too complex for many mainstream educational settings to support.

Situated in the diverse and stimulating city of Brighton, St. John’s College provides learners with skills and qualifications that will contribute to a fulfilling and purposeful adult life.

The curriculum offered at the college is tailored to meet the needs of the individual and is structured in such a way to enable learners to build upon their learning experiences into areas of particular interest encompassing the acquisition of skills in a range of vocational, employability and enterprise areas.

Each learner is supported in their learning by a multidisciplinary team of staff who work collaboratively to ensure they reach their full potential. With this support, all learners gain confidence, social skills and independence preparing them well for their future adult life.

Before starting at St. John’s, all learners will have an assessment. This will involve key members of staff looking carefully at reports and available documentation, the student spending one or two days at St. John’s and sometimes our staff visiting the student at home or in their current placement.
