Derwent Residential Care Home

At Derwent, we’ve created a comfortable environment conducive to improving quality of life in a beautiful property that retains its old charm and character.

Our en suite bedrooms have high ceilings, stylish decor and quality furnishings. Our communal areas include a spacious lounge room, which overlooks the garden, and the bright and airy dining room. Our garden boasts a fishpond and raised flowerbeds and residents with green fingers enjoy nurturing flowers, picking seasonal fruits.

We have a dedicated activities coordinator, who ensures that varied and interesting daily activities promote wellbeing and purpose among our residents. Each resident has a ‘This is Me’ profile, drawn up when they first arrive, to keep us aware of a resident’s existing hobbies, skills, and interests.

We aim to provide an environment that’s comfortable and invigorating for both residents and their visitors. Our planned activities and events are key opportunities for family participation and support. While the option of privacy is always available.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with small belongings and photographs.

We offer different types of care depending on the level of support required. These include

  • Residential Care
  • Respite Care
