Peer support and group activities

ESRA (East Sussex Recovery Alliance) was formed in 2012 and is a registered Community Interest Company. It is a peer lead project supporting recovery from substance misuse in East Sussex. Its overall aim is to guide and support people and their families who want to make real changes in their lives. ESRA likes to show that recovery is possible by offering peer led support groups and activities in the community.

  • Monday to Friday 9.30 – 3.30 pm
  • Tuesday: 10.00 – 2.30
  • Wednesday: 11.00 – 3.00
  • Thursday: 10.00- 2.30
  • Friday: 10.30 – 2.30

No referral is necessary: you can just turn up and attend the groups and activities run on the day

ESRA is made up of people who in the majority have past drug and alcohol problems and others that have been affected by these issues. The staff and volunteers use their past experiences to affect change, break down prejudice, stigma and show that recovery is possible.
