Rehabilitation therapies, supporting people to regain and maintain physical independence. I love arts and crafts, flowers and gardening. I qualified in floristry with City & Guilds after leaving school and still dip in and out with my floral creativity.
I have worked in supporting roles for the last 14 years in education, community and health care environments. This has involved supporting students in schools of inclusion to access the national curriculum and to develop life skills. I have 10 years experience
of working in the Health & Social Care sector as a community carer and then progressing to the NHS supporting patients at home with health and social care issues. This enabled me to be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing a holistic approach, focused
on person - centered care.

My recent role involved working within in a clinical rehabilitation team that supported patients aged 18+ in the community, during times of sudden decline in health or recovery from orthopedic surgery. I supported patients with therapy programmes, empowering them to regain or maintain function for independent living. My generic role included therapies in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language. I have gained extensive experience of working with patients with specific conditions/illness like Parkinsons Disease, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Dementia and age related difficulties of physical function and mobility.
