Sussex coldAlert

Description

Sussex coldAlert is a free service running from November to March which alerts carers, health professionals, family, friends or anyone who cares for vulnerable people to severe cold weather events before they happen.

Receiving a coldAlert 24 to 48 hours prior to a ‘cold snap’ can help you to prepare by warming the home, ensuring supplies of food or medicines are stocked up, and that elderly or vulnerable friends or relatives stay safe indoors during extreme cold conditions.

coldAlerts are sent direct to you by text, automated voice messages (to home phones) via mobile phone App or by email - it’s easy and free
