1066 Pink Ladies

Description

1066 Pink Ladies is a self help group for women in the Hastings and Bexhill area with experience of breast cancer.

We meet every 2nd Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm.  New members welcome. Contact us or through the Macmillan Nurses at the Conquest Hospital, Hastings; or feel free to come along.

We share our cancer experiences, although you don’t even have to talk, if you don’t want to, but just come along and listen. We offer caring and emotional support to each other and help where possible. Everything that is shared between us is confidential.

We have demonstrations and talks from beauticians, complementary therapists etc which have been great fun as well as morale boosters, and try to arrange the odd social event.

We also laugh a lot.

But most of all it is the support we are able to give each other knowing that we share similar fears, worries and problems that is of the greatest help and comfort.

Men with breast cancer

A number of men develop breast cancer and we would certainly like to offer support to them. Pink Ladies is attended primarily by women, but if a chat with one or more of our members would be helpful, please contact us to see if we can be of help to you.
