AAAC Counselling

AAAC provides counselling to adult survivors who have experienced childhood sexual abuse as a child or who may be experiencing a crisis resulting from other forms of childhood abuse and trauma.

We offer:

Steps we can take together:

  • Work on a common process of discovery
  • Work closely with you to change how your past affects the present
  • Discover patterns that help you deal with recurring situations
  • Understand any feelings that may lie beneath your self-protective or self-destructive strategies

All counsellors:

  • Adhere to the BACP 'ethical framework,'
  • Hold professional insurance for all aspects of their work
  • Are DBS certified
  • Attend monthly supervision with a qualified supervisor
  • Undertake a minimum of 30 hours continued professional development training annually
