Chestnut Tree House is the only childrens hospice in Sussex and cares for children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses from all over the county.

At Chestnut Tree House our goal is to provide the best quality of life for children, young people and their families, and to offer a total package of practical, social and spiritual support throughout each child’s life.

Our care services include:

• Assessment, advice and information for children and young adults with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions 24 hours per day.

• Specialist short breaks, emergency and end of life care provided at Chestnut Tree House 24 hours per day.

• Support for the entire family following diagnosis through the whole disease process by the multidisciplinary team at Chestnut Tree House.

• Hospice at home and community care services for children and families in their own homes throughout East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire.

• Bereavement support which includes befriending, counselling and spiritual care.

• Support and advice on the transition from paediatric palliative care services to adult services.
