Normanhurst Nursing Home

Description

The Normanhurst Nursing Home is for those people who need the attention of trained staff, 24 hours a day, in a dignified and caring atmosphere.

For those people who need the attention of trained staff, 24 hours a day, in a dignified and caring atmosphere. We cater for the acute medical, post surgical, chronically sick and terminally ill (also holiday respite care and convalescence).

All rooms have a telephone and nurse call system, as you would expect. All floors are served by a lift and accessibility has been designed into the building. There is a small homely lounge with television and an intimate dining room overlooking the private gardens.

Carers, nurses and first aiders are on duty 24 hours a day, should you need them. There is always one RGN on duty in the Nursing Home 24 hours a day and a number of auxiliary nurses. All public bathrooms, toilets and private facilities are linked into our modern 'Nurse Call' system.

At the Normanhurst your needs always come first. We like to think that we give our residents that 'little bit extra' and pride ourselves on our attention to detail. The staff actively encourage residents to remain independent whenever possible.

We aim to provide a caring environment, within a hotel setting, in which our residents can live in dignity and comfort, free from the worry of managing and owning their own home.

Accreditation Information

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is a non-departmental public body established to regulate and inspect health and social care services in England.
