Disability Football

Description

We run a host of disability football sessions at venues throughout Sussex, including six regular hub clubs in Eastbourne, Burgess Hill, Worthing, Brighton, Horsham and Chichester.

These hub club sessions are open to anyone with a disability who is aged five and over who wants to play regular football. Everyone is welcome and our qualified coaches make sure all the players are given the opportunity to experience the many benefits of taking part in regular sport.

Disability-specific football

As well as our hub clubs, we also run various football sessions for people of all ages at venues throughout Sussex. This includes sessions for players who

  • have Down’s syndrome.
  • are partially-sighted or registered blind.
  • are on the autistic spectrum.
  • are an amputee or have a congenital limb deficiency.
  • have Cerebral palsy and/or require a frame.
  • are deaf or hearing impairment.
  • have l earning disabilities.
  • are adults and have or have had mental health problems.
  • have a physical disability and/or are a wheelchair user.

We have introduced a bespoke football curriculum for each of our programmes, which fit each activity and the ability levels of participants. We incorporate some of the club’s playing philosophies within these curriculums to ensure our players play the Brighton & Hove Albion way.

Our qualified coaches make sure all the players are given the opportunity to experience the many benefits of taking part in regular sport.
