Age Concern Hassocks


Our aim is to improve the lives of older people in Hassocks and the surrounding villages by providing a caring and friendly environment for all.

We help to combat social isolation and loneliness by providing a friendly and welcoming Day Centre that helps to make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience

We are open weekdays 9.00am to 4pm and Saturdays 9-12 noon.  We offer warmth, comfort, good homemade food and a friendly environment for all our members and their families.  

What We Do

  • Coffee shop 
  • Lunch is served  Monday to Friday - Please let the office know as soon as possible if you wish to book a lunch or, if you are a regular diner, let us know if you want to cancel your booking.
  • Mini Bus transport is available to the centre for lunch for a small charge, 
  • Transport for our members attending medical appointments who are unable to provide their own transport. 
  • A limited number of wheelchairs are available to hire for a donation 
  • Hairdressing service 
  • Outings and entertainment
  • A chiropody service four days a week 
  • Hearing aid maintenance and checks 
  • Chair-based exercise
  • Art and drawing groups 
  • Games: Mahjong, Quiz, Scrabble, Bingo, Canasta
