SeeAbility - Barclay House

Description

Barclay House is an accessible purpose-built residential home for adults with a range of disabilities. We specialise in supporting and assisting people with sight loss.

Barclay House is a single-storey residential shared setting which includes three bedrooms with en-suite showers and four bedrooms with shared access to one wet room and WC, and a separate WC. There is also a fully accessible shared kitchen, lounge and dining area, and emergency call systems in each room.

All those supported at Barclay House can benefit from having access to the Bradbury Centre and its sensory garden. The onsite activity centre provides a range of opportunities including arts and crafts, singing and board games.

Our specialist support team work closely with the people we support, providing rehabilitation to people with sight loss to help them maintain and develop skills, and be more independent. We have speech and language therapists who support people with communication difficulties and the team also provides assistive technology and accessible information.
