Maldon House is in a quiet residential area in Seaford, within walking distance of the seafront and local amenities.
There is a spacious communal lounge and dining room and the kitchen is always left open for service users to access with support. A conservatory and small lounge are used by individuals for activities and listening to music. All bedrooms have either en suite bathrooms or shower rooms.the garden is used for relaxation and physical activities such as trampolining, garden games and socialising. There is a sensory cabin housing a full range of sensory equipment that is used for relaxation and aromatherapy.
Each service user has an individual activity plan tailored around their likes and dislikes to ensure that they participate in meaningful activities. Service users are also encouraged to maximise their independent living and domestic skills.
There are staff on site throughout the day alongside 2 waking night staff. Individuals are assessed on referral and 1:1 support can be provided based on assessed need. Staff are trained in both Makaton and PECs.
